Vamaship App Privacy Policy

Vamaship built its Ecommerce Logistics Solutions as a free app. This Service is provided by Vamaship at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Use of Information

Vamaship may use your personal information to: administer this website, personalise the website for you, enable your access to and use of the website services, send to you products that you purchase, supply to you services that you purchase, send to you statements and invoices, collect payments from you and, unless you have opted out, send you marketing communications.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. We use Google Analytics to track usage.

Amazon and Other Marketplace Data

When you connect a marketplace seller account, such as an Amazon seller account, to Vamaship, we receive data from that marketplace through its official integration (for Amazon, the Selling Partner API). Our Terms and Conditions call this “Marketplace Data”.

  • What we receive: your marketplace orders, the buyer details needed for delivery (name, shipping address and phone number), and shipment and tracking information.
  • How we use it: only to create shipments and labels, deliver orders, and send fulfilment and tracking updates back to the marketplace. Buyer personal data is used only for shipping and to meet legal and tax obligations.
  • Who receives it: the courier partner delivering a shipment receives the delivery details it needs, and our cloud hosting provider stores the data on our behalf. We do not sell Marketplace Data, share it with anyone for their own purposes, use it to market to buyers or sellers, combine it across sellers, or use it to create insights about the marketplace’s business.
  • How we protect it: Marketplace Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to provide the Services.
  • How long we keep it: buyer personal information received from Amazon is deleted within 30 days after the order is delivered. Other Marketplace Data is kept only as long as needed to provide the Services. We keep data longer only where the law, including tax law, requires it.
  • Your control: you can disconnect your marketplace account at any time from the marketplace (for Amazon, from Seller Central).

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your devices’ Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your devices’ internal memory. This service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. Marketplace Data is handled only as described in “Amazon and Other Marketplace Data” above.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we will take commercially reasonable & acceptable technical and organisational means & precautions to prevent loss, misuse or alterations of your personal information and shall strive in protecting it. Vamaship will store all the personal information you provide in its servers. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Vamaship and its service providers may store and process personal information, including Marketplace Data, in India and in other countries in which we or they operate. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as described in this policy, and we transfer it only as needed to provide the Services — for example, to deliver an international shipment — or where required by law.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. It is then deleted. Buyer personal information received from Amazon is deleted within 30 days after the order is delivered, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Under applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • access a summary of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it;
  • ask us to erase it, unless we are required by law to keep it;
